The Jewish Federation of Greater Phoenix (Federation) has been serving the Valley’s Jewish and greater community since 1941. It is a collective of professionals and lay leaders as well as generous donors and supporters working together to improve the lives of Jews locally and globally.

Federation strengthens and sustains Jewish life and identity while meeting critical needs in Greater Phoenix, in Israel and around the world. It serves the community as a resource that maximizes the impact of the dollars raised and by supporting organizations that make a difference every day. It enables change, promotes innovation and builds community.  In addition, the Jewish Federation of Greater Phoenix cares for Jews in need, enriches senior living, engages the next generation, and builds community.

Gesher Disability Resources (formerly Council For Jews With Special Needs) exists because of the Jewish Federation of Greater Phoenix. It was leaders at the Federation who brought together a group of  parents, educators and clinicians to discuss special needs and Jewish families from the lens of how can we help. This was over 30 years ago when many people didn’t know about disability and it was time to get the conversations started. Since then, we have grown together with Gesher being a strategic partner of the Federation from the beginning.

Something people may find interesting about the Jewish Federation of Greater Phoenix is that Marty Haberer’s weekly Shabbat message has developed quite a following, both locally and around the country.  Not receiving it and want to be in the know?  Visit jewishphoenix.org/subscribe
